Welcome to “Family Salute”

There are more than 1.2 million men and women actively serving and defending our country around the world. These brave soldiers are making the ultimate sacrifices to protect our freedom and we want to provide an opportunity for your family to share your appreciation.

Families don’t need to wait until National Family Week 2005 (November 20-26) to find a way to show their support of our military. Now, through the “Family Salute” Web page, Americans have the opportunity to say thank you to military personnel serving around the globe throughout the year. Participation is free and easy. Simply click on the “Post Letters” link and start typing a note of appreciation and support to our soldiers and their families. Your letter will then be posted on the “Family Salute” Web page underneath your state’s name for military personnel and their families to click on and read.

The Alliance for Children and Families invites you and your family to write a letter of support and submit it to the “Family Salute” Web page. Your kind words can inspire a serviceman or servicewoman, and provide some welcome encouragement to their families.
